Flamant Ignites Plano’s Dining Scene with European Live-Fire Bistro and Cocktail Bar

Plano's culinary landscape has been set ablaze with the arrival of Flamant, a European-inspired live-fire bistro and cocktail bar that opened its doors on June 10, 2025, at the Boardwalk at Granite Park.

This marks the third concept from the acclaimed team behind Dallas favorites Rye and Apothecary, both recognized in the Michelin Guide.

Flamant, meaning "flamingo" in French, offers a vibrant dining experience with seating for 52 guests indoors and an additional 68 on its waterfront patio.

The restaurant's ambiance is enhanced by plush velvet banquettes, a striking 315-square-foot mural by local artist Jennifer Kindert, and an open kitchen that showcases the live-fire cooking process.

Chef-director Tanner Agar and executive chef Taylor Rause have crafted a menu that pays homage to the culinary traditions of Portugal, Spain, France, and Italy.

Guests can begin their meal with inventive small plates such as the vegan "faux gras" made from cashews and lacto-fermented blackberries, or the scallop crudo featuring spirulina, lemon, and Italian liqueur.

For heartier options, the menu boasts dishes like gnocchi ragù bianco, a wood-fired wagyu burger, and Portuguese-style mussels simmered in white wine and chorizo.

The cocktail program at Flamant is equally impressive, featuring creations like the Octopus' Garden—a squid-ink mojito garnished with charred octopus—and the Salt & Pepperoncini, a margarita infused with pepperoncini and herbal French liqueur.

Flamant welcomes guests Monday through Friday for lunch, happy hour, and dinner, with weekend brunch and late-night service until 1 a.m.

With its unique blend of European flavors, live-fire cooking, and innovative cocktails, Flamant offers a distinctive dining experience that is sure to become a staple in Plano's vibrant food scene.
